The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has lodged an FIR against a woman named Jeeva Santosh for submitting a fake court order to the Kerala High Court in order to gain custody of her daughter from her ex-husband. According to the FIR, Santosh presented a fake order from The Federal Circuit Court and Family Court of Australia (Division II) as genuine in a habeas corpus plea before the High Court of Kerala.
After discovering that the Australian court order was forged, the Kerala High Court ordered the registration of an FIR against the woman. A complaint regarding this matter was first lodged with the police in Kochi city and then forwarded to the Central Police station for further legal action.
The senior CBI official stated that Santosh fraudulently forged the Australian court order after separating from her ex-husband, Joppen George. During the inquiry, it was revealed that the document/order was fake, which led the court to order action against her.
The CBI filed the FIR following the high court order and are currently investigating the matter. The usage of fraudulent documents undermines the fundamentals of law and obstructs justice. Such actions not only violate legal procedures but also threaten the sanctity of the system. It is imperative that the guilty be punished, and justice is served, ensuring that the law is upheld.
