Indian IT company, Wipro Ltd., has opened a new office in Cape Town, solidifying its presence in South Africa. Wipro began working in the African market in 2007, providing support in the public and enterprise sectors. The company has a strong commitment to building a local talent pool with a range of skillsets as well as strategic investments to better serve clients. The new office in the Century City district will provide opportunities for the local workforce to serve the growing client base in the region. Wipro CEO, Anis Chenchah, said the new office marked a significant milestone for the company. The APMEA Strategic Market Unit of Wipro focuses on six regions, including Africa.
