Transgender Athlete Participation in Women’s Sports Raises Concerns
In a recent discussion on Fox News, sports pundit Will Cain expressed his strong opposition to the inclusion of transgender athletes in women’s sports, labeling it as insanity. He argued that claiming to champion equal pay and women’s opportunities while opening a backdoor for men to take those spots undermines the very cause Rapinoe purports to support.
Morgan posited that public figures who express support for transgender inclusion in women’s sports often fear backlash from the online twitter mob and the potential fallout, citing J.K. Rowling as an example. Cain lamented the consequences that could arise from transgender inclusion, such as increased instances of sexual assault in prisons, loss of spots on sports teams for girls, evaporation of scholarships, and an inability to identify victims of violent crimes.
