Rulani Mokwena has signed a new four-year contract with Mamelodi Sundowns, putting an end to recent speculation that he may move to North African clubs. The 36-year-old coach has committed to staying at the team until 2027, and Tlhopie Motsepe, the chairman of Sundowns, expressed his happiness about the decision. Motsepe said Mokwena had been given a lengthy contract because he was both talented and hardworking, and would help the team achieve success, hard work and dedication, as well as joy, trophies and wonderful memories with the yellow nation. For his part, Mokwena said that he had committed to the club because he felt loved, wanted and appreciated, having risen from the youth structures to the senior team.
