A high-level delegation of university, school and training representatives from Western Australia are on an education mission to promote the benefits of studying in the region to prospective students in Bangladesh, India, and Bhutan. The delegation will visit India to showcase the wide range of opportunities available in Western Australia and profile the government’s accommodation subsidy and scholarship programs, including the Premier’s University Scholarships and the Western Australia Certificate of Education Bursary. The visit will also provide the opportunity for partnership agreements to be signed between Western Australian universities and universities in India. Last year’s enrolments from India in Western Australian universities were the highest on record. Education Minister David Templeman stated that international education is a powerful tool that benefits not only individuals but communities and nations.
