Police Concerned for Man Last Seen After Work in Runcorn, Car Found in Widnes

Cheshire Police are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a man who was last seen after finishing work in Runcorn. Michael Burgess, a 50-year-old man from Runcorn, was last spotted at around 1.30 am on Monday, September 18, after completing his shift. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward following the discovery of Burgess’ car in the Moorside Court area of Widnes.

Described as a white male, around 5′ 7 tall, with a medium build, short fair-colored hair, and blue eyes, Burgess has been reported missing by his family. Chief Inspector Neil Drum expressed concern and emphasized the urgency in ensuring Burgess’ safety. Drum appealed to anyone who may have seen Burgess since his disappearance or has access to CCTV or dashcam footage to cooperate with the ongoing investigation. Furthermore, Chief Inspector Drum directly addressed Burgess, assuring him that his son is deeply worried and pleading for him to come forward so his loved ones can have peace of mind knowing he is safe and well.

Cheshire Police are urging anyone with any information about Michael Burgess’ whereabouts to contact them immediately at 101, quoting IML 1649381.
