A dispute has arisen between Tamil Nadu state BJP head K Annamalai and minister TRB Rajaa over Chief Minister MK Stalin’s letter concerning milk procurement by Amul. The matter relates to a communication from Mr Stalin to Home Minister Amit Shah requesting him to direct Amul to cease milk procurement in the milk shed area of Aavin in the state. The state BJP had dismissed the letter as incorrect, prompting Mr Rajaa to retaliate by pointing out that as a cooperative, Amul comes under the ministry of cooperation administered by Shah. The issue is being addressed by the National Dairy Development Board, a branch of the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying.
