VLCC to Acquire Ustraa, a Leading Indian Men’s Grooming Brand through Strategic Merger

Indian beauty and skincare brand VLCC has acquired Happily Unmarried Marketing Private Limited, better known as Ustraa, through a combination of a secondary buyout and a share swap. VLCC aims to capitalise on Ustraa’s position in the fast-growing men’s grooming market, particularly in direct-to-consumer channels. Of Ustraa’s sales, 67% are currently generated via online channels. The brand has 85 different products in skin and hair care, fragrances, and beard care. It has 2.2 million customers through its own app and is wholly owned by Happily Unmarried Private Limited, which is backed by InfoEdge, 360 One and Wipro.
