Vistara’s ‘Sunset brand’ achieves 500 million passenger milestone in just 8.5 years

Vistara, the full-service joint venture between Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines (SIA), has reached a significant milestone by flying its 50 millionth passenger. The special flight, UK 819 from Delhi to Bengaluru, marked the achievement for Vistara, which started its operations on January 9, 2015. Having recently reported its first profitable quarter in the October-December 2022 period, Vistara has now flown over five crore passengers in just over eight years.

Vistara CEO Vinod Kannan expressed his gratitude and joy at reaching this remarkable feat and thanked the millions of customers who have placed their trust in the airline. He also acknowledged the dedication and passion of Vistara employees, who have worked tirelessly to ensure exceptional service despite the challenges faced.

The airline has launched a campaign, #50MillionFeelings, to celebrate this milestone. Passengers flying from Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai airports will encounter anamorphic 3D installations, providing a unique visual experience. Additionally, themed desserts will be served on select flights, adding a touch of celebration to the onboard experience.
