Virginia mother files lawsuit after daughter is secretly transitioned, kidnapped, and trafficked

In a shocking turn of events, a Virginia mother has filed a lawsuit against her local school district after her daughter was secretly transitioned, leading to dangerous situations that resulted in her being kidnapped and sex-trafficked. Michele Blair, the mother of Sage, is suing the Appomattox County School Board and district staff, as well as public defender Aneesa Khan, who is accused of conducting acts aimed at depriving Mrs. Blair of custody of her daughter.

Blair alleges that her daughter was severely bullied in school, but the school district withheld crucial information from her. It was discovered that Sage was identifying as a boy in school, which led to verbal, physical, and sexual harassment from male classmates. Despite the harassment, the school encouraged Sage to use the boys’ bathroom, adding to her distress.

Blair had previously informed the school about Sage’s history of mental health issues, including depression, eating disorders, self-harm, and hallucinations. However, the school took it upon themselves to pursue a social transition for Sage without the knowledge or consent of her parents. This action deprived Blair of her parental rights and her ability to make important decisions regarding her daughter’s education and mental health.

The situation escalated when Sage ran away from home due to the severe bullying and harassment she endured at school. Unfortunately, she fell into the hands of a pedophile who kidnapped her and then trafficked her with two other men, taking her across state lines. Eventually, Sage was rescued by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Maryland, but instead of being returned to her mother, she was placed in the custody of the Baltimore juvenile court system at the request of Aneesa Khan.

Khan deemed the Blairs as not sufficiently affirming of Sage’s new identity and fabricated a story of abuse and neglect to convince the court to keep the child in custody. While in the juvenile facility, Sage endured further sexual assault, exposure to drugs, and the denial of medical and mental health care. In a desperate attempt to escape, she ran away again and was found by another pedophile who took her to Texas, where she endured further abuse until law enforcement rescued her and reunited her with her mother.

As a result of these horrific experiences, Sage has been diagnosed with complex PTSD and has undergone intensive therapy to address the trauma she endured. This case highlights a systemic failure wherein school officials inappropriately took it upon themselves to transition a child without involving the parents, causing confusion and worsening the mental health of vulnerable individuals.

Governor Glenn Youngkin of Virginia has expressed his support for Sage’s case and implemented new guidelines in the state to give more power to parents and protect the privacy and dignity of students. The lawsuit filed by Michele Blair seeks justice and accountability for the actions of the school district, Aneesa Khan, and others involved in Sage’s secret transition and the subsequent trafficking she was subjected to.

The Appomattox County School Board and district staff have not responded to requests for comment on the matter. As Sage continues to recover from her traumatic experiences, she and her mother are hopeful for a brighter future. While the road to healing may be challenging, they remain determined to support Sage and ensure she receives the love and care she deserves.
