Vinny McLaughlin, a popular footballer and delivery driver from Letterkenny, is hosting a charity football match at the Letterkenny Community Centre on Friday to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis. This year’s tournament will see avid Man United and Liverpool fans battling it out on the field with kick-off scheduled at 7 PM. There is no entry fee for spectators, and everyone is encouraged to donate whatever they can to support the cause.
Vinny has been actively raising funds for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland over the years and has hosted many such events. Last year, he organized the same tournament, ran a Last Man Standing competition and ’65 holes for 65 roses’ at Letterkenny Golf Club to raise funds for the charity. His cousin and best friend, Marc McCarron, is a CF patient for whom the charity has provided immense support.
Vinny’s charity event is expected to bring together football enthusiasts from all over the locality, and everyone is invited to attend and support the cause. The tournament promises an exciting match between two of the oldest rival football clubs in history.
Vinny hopes to raise more funds this year than ever before to support the deserving charity. So, come and support the cause, and watch Man United and Liverpool go head to head on the field!
