The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, inaugurated by Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri in Palakkad’s Kanhirapuzha Panchayat, has gained momentum with over 10 crore participants. Puri expressed his happiness with the massive turnout and emphasized the importance of this initiative.
During his visit to Kerala, Puri interacted with beneficiaries of various government schemes and highlighted the unique aspect of these programs, which bring government services directly to the people. He also mentioned that the Yatra aims to enroll more individuals who have not yet been covered by these schemes and expressed gratitude for the valuable suggestions received.
The Yatra has witnessed the participation of over 10 crore individuals in just 50 days, surpassing the populations of major countries like Australia, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, and South Africa. Its impact can be seen in the distribution of over 1.7 crore Ayushman Cards, the screening of more than 2.2 crore citizens at Health Camps, and the empowerment of over 7.5 lakh beneficiaries through the PM SVANidhi scheme.
Additionally, the Yatra has enrolled over 33 lakh new PM KISAN beneficiaries and facilitated over 87,000 drone demonstrations to aid farmers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra on November 15 in Khunti, Jharkhand, and it has gained significant momentum across the nation to unite people towards the vision of a developed Bharat.
