Veterans Day 2023: Enjoy Freebies and Discounts at Upstate SC Businesses

In honor of Veterans Day 2023, businesses in the Upstate area of South Carolina are offering special celebrations and deals for military veterans. From free food to discounts on entertainment, there are plenty of opportunities for veterans to enjoy their day and be appreciated for their service.

Spare Time Entertainment is showing their support by offering veterans with a badge or military ID a FREE $20 Game Play Card on November 11th. It’s a great chance for veterans to enjoy some fun and entertainment with their loved ones.

Craft Axe Throwing is also joining in the celebrations by allowing all veterans and active military to throw for free for 45 minutes on November 11th. As an added bonus, they will receive free chips and salsa or queso from White Duck Taco. It’s a unique and exciting way to spend Veterans Day.

If you’re a veteran and a music lover, Pecknel Music has something special for you. On November 11th, they are offering a free string change for all veterans, as well as an additional 10 percent discount storewide from 11AM to 3PM. It’s a great opportunity to indulge in your musical passions while enjoying some savings.

But the discounts and freebies don’t stop there. On Friday until noon, veterans can start their day with a free Grand Slam breakfast at Denny’s. On Saturday, they can grab a free doughnut at Dunkin or Krispy Kreme, or enjoy a free breakfast combo at Wendy’s. Starbucks is also joining in with a free hot or iced coffee for veterans, and IHOP is offering free pancakes or a pancake combo until 7 p.m. Applebee’s goes a step further, providing a free meal to veterans who dine in on Saturday.

Not to be left out, Lowe’s is giving out free collectible pins to the first 150 veteran customers at each store on Saturday. This is in addition to their existing 10% military discount for active duty and veteran military service members and their families, available every day.

It’s important to note that for most of these deals, veterans will need to show a valid military ID.

This Veterans Day, businesses in the Upstate area of South Carolina are going above and beyond to show their appreciation for the sacrifices made by veterans. From entertainment to food, there are plenty of opportunities for veterans to enjoy themselves and be recognized for their service.
