After much anticipation and delays, the makers of the hit comedy franchise, ‘Fukrey’, have finally announced the new release date for the third installment, ‘Fukrey 3’. To share the news with fans, actor Varun Sharma took to Instagram to post a video that featured clips from the first two movies, followed by the announcement of the release date. The video ended with the words, The Jugaadu boys are back on 1st Dec 2023 at cinemas near you. #Fukrey3.
‘Fukrey’ and ‘Fukrey Returns’ were both superhits when they released in 2013 and 2017, respectively. Both movies had audiences in splits and struck a chord with viewers worldwide. This latest announcement has excited fans who have been eagerly waiting for the release of ‘Fukrey 3’.
In the previous two installments, actor Ali Fazal played the role of Zafar but will not be seen in ‘Fukrey 3’. Ali confirmed his exit from the franchise in a statement, citing a scheduling conflict with his work on ‘Mirzapur 3’ season as the reason for his absence. However, Ali hinted that he would return to the franchise in future.
‘Fukrey 3’ stars Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Richa Chadha, Manjot Singh, and Pankaj Tripathi, and is directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment.
Since its inception in 2013, ‘Fukrey’ has managed to capture the hearts of audiences and become one of Hindi cinema’s most adored comedy franchises. The movie introduced several iconic characters like Choocha, Hunny, Pandit Ji, Bholi Punjaban, Lali, and more, all of whom will reunite for ‘Fukrey 3’.
While the initial release date for the movie was September 7, 2023, which was meant to conflict with Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’, the date was pushed to November 24 before settling on December 1.
Fans have been eagerly waiting for the return of the Jugaadu boys, and with this new release date, they can look forward to another installment of the highly entertaining movie franchise.
