Artisans from Varanasi have created 3D miniature models of the new Parliament building, along with a stole adorned with images of both new and old Parliament buildings. These creations were made by women artisans specializing in Banarasi zardozi craft and artisans specializing in GI-tagged woodcraft and zardozi work. The items have been sent to the Central government and will be available to the public soon. With the guidance and technical support of Rameshwar Singh and Rajkumar Singh, the group of artisans, including Shalini, Divya, Sanjay Prajapati, Sanjay Chaurasia, Satyam Kumar, Sanoj Kumar, Ajay Pratap Singh, Monika Devi, and Meena Pal, were able to produce 15 models of the new Parliament building. Rajni Kant, a GI expert and Padma Shri awardee, described these items as India’s intellectual property and expects them to be among the most popular mementos in the coming times.
