Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh are set to promote cultural exchange and cultural promotion under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative. An MoU will be signed at Gandhi Auditorium in Raj Bhavan in Lucknow during Uttar Pradesh Natak Akademi Samman Samaroh 2023. Governor of Uttar Pradesh Anandiben Patel, culture and tourism minister of Uttar Pradesh, Jaiveer Singh, and culture and tourism minister of Madhya Pradesh Usha Thakur will witness the event. Officials including principal secretary, culture and tourism of Madhya Pradesh, Sheo Shekhar Shukla, and principal secretary, culture and tourism of Uttar Pradesh, Mukesh Kumar Meshram will also be present during the occasion.
The memorandum of understanding seeks to enhance cultural exchange between the two states. The initiative aims to enrich the cultural diversity of the nation while strengthening the integrity of individuals, communities, and the country. By promoting cultural exchange, both states hope to celebrate and appreciate each other’s traditions, languages, and customs.
Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, both possessing a rich cultural heritage, will showcase and elevate their respective cultural identities. The states will organize cultural programs, festivals, and events to increase cultural awareness among residents and tourists. These programs will enable the public to learn about the history and traditions of each state.
