Utah Woman Found Dead in Alaska Storm Drain, Husband Arrested

However, investigators soon discovered a text sent from Saria’s phone to her co-workers, stating that she would not be coming to work that day. Zarrius denied sending the texts and could not provide an explanation for them.
As the investigation progressed, police found evidence suggesting foul play. Zarrius had made several purchases on August 6th, including a 96-gallon trash can with wheels, which raised suspicions. When detectives searched the area near the Hildabrands’ apartment, they found a large garbage can with blood inside. Subsequently, human remains were discovered in a storm drain, identified as Saria Hildabrand.
Further examination revealed a gunshot wound on her left temple. Zarrius Hildabrand was subsequently taken into custody by Anchorage police.
