Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh, with its highest youth population in the country, is set to lead India’s economic growth as one of the largest economies globally, according to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. With approximately 56% of its population engaged in work, the state holds tremendous potential for development and progress. The Chief Minister emphasized that previous governments had enticed the youth with empty promises based on caste, but under the leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the youth now have real employment opportunities.
Speaking at an event organized by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University to commemorate National Youth Day and Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary, CM Yogi Adityanath highlighted the remarkable changes that have taken place in Uttar Pradesh since the BJP came into power. He underscored advancements related to faith, mentioning the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi, which now accommodates up to 50,000 devotees in religious events following the construction of the corridor. Furthermore, he expressed his belief that Ayodhya would emerge as a prominent tourist destination on the global map after the successful consecration of the Ram temple.
CM Yogi Adityanath invoked the teachings of Swami Vivekananda, particularly his famous call to the youth to Arise, Awake and stop not until the goal is reached. He urged the youth to learn from Swami Vivekananda’s wisdom, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and choosing the right path to achieve success. With 56% of Uttar Pradesh’s population engaged in work, generating employment opportunities is imperative. CM Yogi Adityanath stressed the need to transcend barriers of caste, creed, religion, and region to create a prosperous and inclusive society.
Highlighting Uttar Pradesh’s status as a revenue surplus state, the Chief Minister expressed confidence in the state’s ability to fulfill the dreams of its youth. During the event, he distributed incentives, smartphones, tablets, and financial aid to startups, incubators, and exceptional individuals under various schemes designed to empower youth.
Uttar Pradesh has witnessed remarkable progress under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath and the BJP government. The focus on youth empowerment, generation of employment opportunities, and development of religious tourist sites has contributed to the state’s steady growth. With the highest percentage of youth in the country, Uttar Pradesh is well-positioned to spearhead India’s economic growth and emerge as a dominant force in the global economy.
