Uttar Pradesh minister Sanjay Nishad hailed the completion of 9 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government by claiming that all the promises made had been fulfilled. Speaking at a press conference in Etawah, Nishad said that the government is committed to doing good work, which is why they had won the Lok Sabha and Assembly polls. He also highlighted the allocation of Rs 26,000 crore for fishermen and the commission set up for the backward class as achievements of the government. Additionally, Nishad criticized the opposition for misleading the people and not contributing to development.
In response to demands for the resignation of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw following a train accident, Nishad questioned whether the opposition had ever taken moral responsibility for such incidents during their tenure. He also mentioned that the number of accidents had decreased since the BJP came to power. Nishad urged people to wait for the court’s verdict on the sexual harassment allegations against BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who is also the Wrestling Federation of India chief. Regarding the claim by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat that Muslims are safest in India, Nishad attributed this to the government’s policies of serving all communities without discrimination and denounced the politics of appeasement for votes.
