The Uttar Pradesh government plans to beautify and develop various temples in Prayagraj ahead of the Mahakumbh in 2025. This will involve more than 47 permanent and temporary works, including the development of tourist attractions. The Bhardwaj Ashram will see its entrance gate, corridor, and beautification completed with Rs 1542.71 lakhs. Other temples, such as the Dwadash Madhav Temple, Nagavasuki Temple, Dashashwamedh Temple, Mankameshwar Temple, Alopshankari Temple, Padila Mahadev Temple, and many others, will also receive funding for their development. Corridor development for the Akshayvat/Saraswatikoop/Patalpuri temple will also be a priority. The government has allocated over Rs 18 crore for over 10 facade-related works, including proposed facade lighting work at various locations. The aim of these initiatives is to create a more attractive environment for devotees and tourists that attend the Mahakumbh in 2025.
