UNICEF and Global Partners Unite to Eradicate Polio in Kebbi State by 2024, Nigeria

The federal government, in collaboration with UNICEF, WHO, GAVI, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Aliko Dangote Foundation, has expressed its dedication to combat the variant polio virus in Kebbi State. The aim is to completely eradicate the virus in the state by the end of 2024. This commitment was reiterated during the commissioning of an Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) and the donation of four vehicles by GAVI, the federal government, and UNICEF in Birnin Kebbi.
