Under the patronage of Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Global Media Congress 2023 will kick off on November 14th at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). Organized by ADNEC Group in partnership with Emirates News Agency (WAM), the event will bring together industry leaders, specialists, influencers, academics, and students to discuss the latest developments and prospects in the media sector.
Over the course of three days, the Congress will focus on key themes such as environmental conservation, climate, innovation, artificial intelligence, and the use of sports in media to promote positive values. The event aims to highlight the role of media in spreading positive values and enriching sustainability concepts related to environmental and climate issues.
The second edition of the Global Media Congress will provide a unique platform for national, regional, and international media outlets to forecast the future of the global media sector and emphasize its pivotal role in accelerating sustainable development worldwide. Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, Director-General of WAM and Chairman of the GMC Higher Organizing Committee, expressed gratitude to the UAE’s wise leadership for their vision and support. The timing of GMC 2023 coincides with the UAE’s hosting of the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) in Expo City Dubai later this year. This underlines the significance of environmental media in supporting international efforts to promote global climate action and raise awareness about environmental and climate issues.
