Madhya Pradesh’s Unhel Municipal Council President, Shantilal Halkara, held a press conference to announce the government’s decision to allocate funds to improve the city’s infrastructure. The council will receive Rs 7.07 crore for the city’s rejuvenation projects.
According to Halkara, the State Disaster Mitigation Fund has released Rs 6.42 crore to establish a drainage system in the city from the New Bus Stand to Malipura, which will address the issue of waterlogging during the rainy season. An RCC wall measuring 1140 meters will also be constructed between these areas.
The Rs 45 lakh project to rejuvenate Chota Talab, a small lake in the city, is another important initiative. In addition, a brand-new garden will be created with an amount of Rs 20 lakh under AMRUT 2.0. The council’s vice-president Akhilesh Upadhyaya and Chairman Rajkumar Jain, along with Chairman Nagesh Mali, councillor Sanjay Shinde, councillor representative Anil Nandeda, and others expressed their views during the press conference.
