UAE and Ethiopia Sign Landmark Agreements for Mutual Cooperation

Furthermore, Abu Dhabi Ports and Ethiopia Investment Holdings have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, marking a commitment to enhance cooperation in investment and port development. This agreement, signed by Mohamed Jumaa Alshamsi, CEO of AD Ports Group, and Meleket Sahlu Denbu, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Ethiopian Investment Holdings, aims to bolster economic ties and support investment initiatives between the two countries.

In the realm of industry and advanced technologies, a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed by Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology from the UAE, and Melaku Alebel, Ethiopian Minister of Industry. This strategic pact seeks to foster collaboration in these fields, encouraging knowledge sharing, technology transfer, and the promotion of innovation for economic growth.

Additionally, the Ethiopian Investment Commission has signed two important memorandums of understanding with the Federation of Sharjah Chambers and the Federation of Abu Dhabi Chambers of Commerce and Industry. These agreements, signed by Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Dr. Ali bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, First Vice Chairman of the Chamber representing Abu Dhabi, aim to facilitate investment and trade cooperation between Ethiopian and Emirati businesses, further strengthening economic ties.

Furthermore, agreements in the fields of insurance, gold standards, agriculture, transport, climate action, and combating terrorism have been signed between various entities from both countries. These agreements highlight the commitment of UAE and Ethiopia to foster cooperation and collaboration across multiple sectors, aiming to promote economic growth, development, and stability.
