The No. 1 existential threat to America

Many experts have long warned about the dangers of the declining birthrate in America, and now it is being recognized as the No. 1 threat to the future of the country. This decline in birthrates over the past two generations is comparable to the challenges that led to the fall of the Roman Empire in A.D. 500. In order to offset Rome’s near-zero birthrate, immigrants were brought in. Similarly, the U.S. is now facing the same challenges, with more people retiring than there are American citizens entering the workforce. This puts a strain on social programs like Social Security and other government-administered benefits.

The consequences of low birthrates are not unique to the United States. Industrialized nations worldwide, such as Russia, Europe, China, Japan, and Canada, are also grappling with these issues. Social programs, hiring, tax revenues, cultural issues, and the burden of absorbing more immigrants are all affected by low birthrates, as aging populations create additional challenges.

Attempts have been made by countries like Hungary, Russia, and China to incentivize higher birthrates, but only Israel has successfully reversed the trend. Israel’s positive birthrate can be attributed to various factors, including the practice of Judaism, mandatory military service for graduating high school students, tax laws that favor families with children, and a constant concern for national survival.

To increase the birth rate in the United States, several actions should be considered. Implementing a mandatory draft for all citizens at age 18, with the option of social or military service, could foster a sense of caring for others and combat the prevailing me, me, me mentality. Simplifying federal tax brackets to a single 35% tax rate after high deductions for spouses and children would provide significant relief for families. Prioritizing teaching homemaking, parenting, and family values in the public education system and ensuring religious practices are not interfered with by governments are crucial steps to consider as well. Additionally, media, entertainment, and corporations should be encouraged to support married couples and emphasize the importance of raising children.

It is important to address the low birthrate issue in America, as it poses a far greater threat than any climate change. The decline of populations, especially among Caucasians and Jewish communities, is alarming. Alarming statistics reveal that 47% of Americans aged 18 to 50 have chosen not to have children. These individuals often cite perceived high costs, interference with careers, and environmental concerns as reasons for their decision. However, it is essential to reverse this trend and prioritize the importance of raising children to secure the future of America.

In conclusion, the declining birthrate in America is a pressing issue that demands attention. By implementing measures like a mandatory draft, tax reforms, and prioritizing family values, it is possible to reverse the trend and ensure a brighter future for the country. The importance of increasing birthrates cannot be overstated, as it directly impacts social programs, military recruitment, and the overall strength of the nation. By learning from countries like Israel that have successfully addressed this issue, the United States can overcome the No. 1 existential threat it currently faces.
