The police have arrested two suspects in connection with the attack on a female BJP activist in the Khajrana area of Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The third accomplice is currently on the run. The victim, named Anita, was attacked with a surgical blade, causing critical injuries to both cheeks. The suspects, Kapil and Ujjawal, had fled to Kota before returning to the city, where they were arrested by the police. The blade used in the attack was also recovered from the suspects.
According to the police, the suspects had an argument with some IMC employees in the area, which led to the altercation with Anita. A police case was registered against the suspects, which prompted them to seek revenge by attacking Anita at her home. The police are still searching for the third accomplice, Bhim.
Investigating officer SI Mukesh Jhariya confirmed that the suspects are on police remand and are being further questioned in connection with the incident. Meanwhile, Anita is receiving medical treatment for her injuries.
