Twitter Blue subscribers who are popular creators on the platform may soon start receiving a share of ad revenue, according to recent reports. The feature is expected to be rolled out within the next 72 hours and will only apply to users paying for the premium Twitter Blue service. To be eligible for payment, these subscribers will need to have a substantial number of followers.

Several high-profile users have already received notifications about incoming deposits, with one user claiming they are set to receive over $24,000. The rewards will be based on ads in replies to eligible users’ content. This move is part of Twitter’s ad-revenue sharing program, which was launched by the company’s new CEO, Elon Musk, back in February.

Twitter’s revenue-sharing program is designed to help the select content creators on the platform earn a living directly through the platform. According to the company’s creator ads revenue sharing page, this sharing of ad revenue will begin in the replies to the creators’ posts. However, it’s worth noting that this program applies to Verified Organizations or Twitter Blue subscribers who have achieved at least five million post impressions in each of the past three months.

This move by Twitter is seen as an effort to compete with rival platforms and strengthen its position as a monetization platform. Just recently, Meta-owned Instagram launched a new feature called Threads, which has seen record registrations and is being touted as a rival to Twitter.

The new feature will allow users to share mini-posts, much like Twitter, but with all the elements from Instagram, such as usernames and followers. By allowing popular creators to share in ad revenue, Twitter aims to attract and retain influential users who can contribute to the platform.

In conclusion, Twitter is set to roll out ad revenue sharing for popular creators who are subscribers of Twitter Blue. This move is part of the company’s effort to help content creators earn a living directly on Twitter. By providing a share in ad revenue, Twitter hopes to remain competitive in the market and provide a better monetization platform for its users.
