Train services have resumed in Balasore, Odisha, following the horrific triple train accident that left 275 people dead and over 1,000 injured. Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw waved at passengers and crew, praying for their safe journey. He spoke to ANI and stated that work on the reconstruction of damaged tracks began soon after instructions from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Vaishnaw added that both lines were reconstructed and tested before services resumed. The accident occurred due to a change in electronic interlocking, according to officials. Restoration efforts saw over 1,000 workers deployed with more than seven Poclain Machines and additional machinery.
