The trailer kicks off with Karam’s (Ayushmann Khurrana) father, played by Annu Kapoor, receiving a call from a credit card recovery agent. Ayushmann, in his alter ego as Pooja, portrays a comic extravaganza through his dialogue delivered in a sultry tone. The trailer also introduces Ananya Panday’s character, Karam’s love interest, as the couple plans to get married. However, Ananya’s father sets a condition where Karam must collect 25 lacs in his bank account within six months.
In a meta moment, Karam responds with a humorous line, Roadies chal raha hai kya yahan pe, task de rahe ho mujhe, referring to Ayushmann’s entry into showbiz through the reality show Roadies in 2012. As the trailer progresses, Karam assumes the hilarious avatar of Pooja to earn the required money and live happily ever after with his lady love.
