Tragic Road Accident in Jajpur: Two Family Members Killed, Five Injured
Jajpur: In a tragic incident that has left the community in sorrow, two members of a family lost their lives while five others sustained injuries in a heart-wrenching road accident in Jajpur. The unfortunate incident occurred on National Highway no. 16 near Mulapala chhak under Kuakhia police limits in Jajpur district.
The deceased have been identified as 11-year-old Shivendra Mohapatra and 20-year-old Puja Sahu from the Patna Sahi Sahapada area of Bhadrak. The family, hailing from Bhadrak, was on their way to Puri in an auto rickshaw to seek blessings at the revered Jagannath temple. However, their journey was abruptly disrupted when a speeding truck collided with their auto from behind, near Sharma Hotel at Panikoili.
As a result of the collision, Shivendra and Puja lost their lives, while the other five family members suffered injuries of varying degrees. Promptly, the injured were rushed to the Jajpur District Headquarters Hospital, where they are receiving medical attention. Meanwhile, the police recovered the lifeless bodies of the deceased and sent them for post-mortem examination.
