Tragic London House Fire Claims Lives of Hindu Family, 6th Victim Found
London, Nov 20 – In a devastating incident, a tragic house fire in west London has claimed the lives of a Hindu family, including three young children, with the discovery of a sixth victim, police confirmed today. The fire broke out on November 12, coinciding with Diwali celebrations, and resulted in the death of Seema Ratra and her three children – Riyan, Shanaya, and Arohi. One house guest also perished in the blaze.
The husband, Aroen Kishen, managed to escape the fire and has been recovering in the hospital since then. The identities of the victims are yet to be officially disclosed, but police have stated that all the victims were adults and children, and their deaths are being treated as unexplained.
Investigators faced significant challenges in conducting inquiries due to the unstable and dangerous conditions at the scene. It was only after reinforcing the walls and removing the roof that search teams could safely enter the premises. Tragically, they have now discovered a sixth body. A joint investigation between the Metropolitan Police and London Fire Brigade is underway to determine the cause of the fire. Distressed neighbors narrated the heart-wrenching scene of Kishen escaping the burning house, desperately crying out for his children.
As investigation into the cause of the fire continues, both fireworks and candles used for Diwali celebrations are being examined. However, it is still too early to determine their exact role in the tragic incident, according to the London Fire Brigade.
