Tragedy Strikes as Bus Plunges 80ft in Andhra Pradesh Valley, Two Dead and Dozens Injured
PADERU(ASR DISTRICT): Two individuals lost their lives and more than 10 endured severe injuries when a state-owned bus careened into an 80 ft valley on Paderu ghat road near a viewpoint in Paderu Mandal, Andhra Pradesh’s ASR district, on Sunday.
The accident occurred while the bus driver was maneuvering a steep curve on its route from Chodavaram to Paderu.
According to reports, the driver lost control of the bus while navigating a sharp bend, colliding with a retaining wall that subsequently collapsed, leading the bus to plunge into the valley.
At the time of the accident, there were over 45 passengers onboard. Tragically, two individuals lost their lives immediately, and more than 30 people, including children, sustained injuries. The injured victims were promptly transported to a government hospital in Paderu town, where five individuals are currently in critical condition. Rescue operations are underway, as stated by the local authorities.
