Continuous rainfall since Friday night resulted in a 50-meter stretch of the highway being washed away. This was followed by roadblocks near Nandaprayag, Pursari, Gauchar, and Kameda.
Chamoli Police shared visuals on social media showing a massive pile of debris on the road. Officials from relevant departments have been working to restore the road for traffic as quickly as possible.
