Founded just after the death of notable musician Tom Petty, the Bellingham-based group Petty or Not has performed on stages across western Washington.
On March 23, the band paid tribute to Tom Petty and the music he made with Stevie Nicks at the Mount Baker Theatre for a sold-out night of rock and roll. This was their second time playing the over 1,500-seat venue and one of their largest sold-out shows to date. Opening the night was National Guitar, a regional Paul Simon tribute band.
To finish the show, the Bellingham High School Marching Band joined Petty or Not for a grand encore. The groups played the Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers hit American Girl followed by Don’t Stop by Fleetwood Mac.
