TMC Leader Files Defamation Complaint Against BJP’s Malviya for Accusing Mamata Banerjee of Protecting Absconding Accused, India

A police complaint has been filed against BJP leader Amit Malviya for his social media post about West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The complaint was lodged by senior TMC leader Chandrima Bhattacharya, who accused Malviya of making defamatory remarks against the Chief Minister. Malviya’s post claimed that absconding TMC leader Sahajahan Sheikh had managed to evade the law because of Mamata Banerjee’s support. Bhattacharya, who is also a state minister, has urged the police to take immediate action against Malviya.
