The Timarpur Lake in Delhi will soon be open to tourists, according to Delhi Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj. The development of the area aims to address water-related issues for the local population while serving as a tourist destination. Bhardwaj visited the lake on World Environment Day, joining in tree plantation activities with children and local residents. The project is almost complete, with a sewage treatment plant being constructed to support groundwater recharge and create an ecosystem in the area. The complex offers a butterfly park, open-air theatre, gallery, and auditorium, with amenities like a selfie point, stepped plaza seating area, and a museum. Once opened, the lake will be connected to the Signature Bridge and help to overcome water scarcity in surrounding regions.
