Bhopal: Tiger Poaching Proving To be A Blind Case For Us
In an ongoing investigation into the killing and beheading of a tiger, officials at the Satpura Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh are struggling to find leads. Forest teams conducted search operations in several villages across Betul, Chindwada, and Hoshangabad districts on Tuesday. Despite their efforts, the officials admit that the tiger poaching case remains a mystery.
A senior officer at the Satpura Tiger Reserve, speaking on the condition of anonymity, disclosed that searches were carried out in Tamia, Sangakheda, and Meerakota in Chhindwara district. He further explained that they were collecting data of mobile locations from suspected villagers in the hope of obtaining some clue in the case.
To aid the investigation, the Field Director of the Satpura Tiger Reserve, L Krishnamurthy, revealed that another dog squad had been called in. Currently, two dog squads, forest teams, and the Tiger Force are working earnestly to unravel the poaching incident. The search operations have covered eight to ten villages in Betul and Hoshangabad districts, with additional patrolling teams scanning the Chindwada belt.
Krishnamurthy stated that they had interrogated 25 to 30 individuals in connection with the case. He proposed that black magic practitioners might be involved in the poaching activities based on preliminary findings. However, no arrests have been made thus far.
Responding to concerns over the suicide of Anees Uikey from Dhansai village in Betul after being questioned by forest officials, Krishnamurthy clarified that it was merely an unfortunate incident. He insisted that they were only gathering information from people and that it did not qualify as interrogation.
Sources within the Satpura Tiger Reserve revealed that the search operation had been ongoing for the past three to four days, as authorities continue their relentless efforts to solve the tiger poaching case.
Despite the challenges faced by the officials, they remain determined to bring the perpetrators to justice and put an end to the senseless killing of these majestic creatures. The investigation has not been without obstacles, but the dedicated teams at the Satpura Tiger Reserve are leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of the truth.
