Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Digvijaya Singh, has announced that tickets for the upcoming election will be given based on a survey conducted by the MP Congress Committee president Kamal Nath. Singh made this statement during a protest by the Congress on Saturday, citing that the increasing number of ticket aspirants has become a problem for the party, and he is fed up with them.

Singh said that the survey conducted by Nath will be the final decision regarding the distribution of tickets and urged party members to remain fearless and defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Should the Congress win the election, Singh said that an inquiry will be held against the ministers, officers, and their agents, and they will be held accountable according to the law of the land.

The Congress held protests across various parts of the state to demonstrate against the BJP, with many claiming that party workers are being harassed. The leaders present at these protests have vowed to remove the current government come election time and have submitted a memorandum to the Governor in the hopes of improving the situation.

As the election season heats up in India, it is not uncommon for parties to get bogged down by aspirants seeking tickets to contest for a seat. However, the Congress appears to have taken a unique step in delegating the responsibility to vote for candidates to the survey conducted by the MP Congress Committee president, Kamal Nath. This move may indicate a more democratic process for selecting candidates within the party and may garner support from those looking for more transparency in candidate selection.

The upcoming Madhya Pradesh elections could be pivotal for both the Congress and BJP, as the outcome could set the tone for the national election in 2019. The Congress will likely be focusing its campaigns on exposing the ruling party’s alleged shortcomings while the BJP will be looking to retain its dominant position in power. Regardless of the result, it is sure to be a closely watched contest for both parties and the nation as a whole.
