Three Officials of Punjab School Education Dept Suspended for Neglecting Duty

Three officials of the Punjab School Education Department have been suspended for failing to perform their duties. The officials were Bhagwan Singh, District Manager of Mohali Depot, Lakhan Singh, Deputy Manager of Mohali Depot, and Jaspreet Singh, Statistical Assistant of the Punjab School Education Board. The Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains had ordered a surprise check on the government primary school at Lambayan in SAS Nagar District when he discovered that a number of students had not received their English subject books. The negligence of officials and employees resulted in 3,500 books not being printed, affecting 1,135 students in the Dera Bassi block and 1,400 students in the Banur block. The minister also ordered that the district and block education officers be issued show-cause notices for their actions.
