Three more people, including a juvenile, have been arrested in connection with the killing of Delhi University student Nikhil Chauhan. 18-year-old Yash and 19-year-old Taleem, both students of the School of Open Learning, were among the three arrested. Chauhan, a first-year student at DU’s School of Open Learning, was murdered on Sunday after he objected to his girlfriend being allegedly harassed by another student outside Aryabhatta College in the South Campus area. Two individuals had already been detained in the case – Rahul, a first-year student who lived in Delhi’s Bindapur area, and his friend Haroon, a resident of Janakpuri who worked at a T-shirt factory. Family members of the victim had claimed that the murder was pre-planned, and police have stated that the angle of conspiracy will be explored after the arrest of more individuals involved in the case.
