Three people have tragically lost their lives, and multiple individuals have sustained serious injuries following a head-on crash on Stonewall Tell Road in Fulton County. The incident occurred on Tuesday night and involved three vehicles.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the collision took place around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Stonewall Tell Road and South Fulton Parkway. A blue Ford F-150 and a MARTA bus were both traveling on Stonewall Tell Road when an unidentified black sedan attempted to make a left turn onto South Fulton Parkway. Sadly, the sedan was struck from behind by the F-150, resulting in the F-150 colliding head-on with the MARTA bus.
Tragically, three occupants of the F-150 were pronounced dead at the scene, while three others from the same vehicle were transported to Grady Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the MARTA bus also sustained serious injuries but was the sole occupant of the bus at the time of the crash, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
Upon investigating the scene, troopers found evidence indicating that the F-150 had disregarded a traffic control device. Unfortunately, the driver of the black sedan fled the scene before authorities arrived. The Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.
