CALIFORNIA – Police officers in Orange, California were able to apprehend a thief who stole an American flag from a woman’s front porch. The incident was captured on the woman’s doorbell camera, and the video was shared by the Orange Police Department.
In the video, a man wearing a white shirt and a beanie can be seen pulling at a wall-mounted flagpole and struggling with the flag. When confronted by a voice asking what he was doing, the thief responded, I was born in America too, before draping the flag over his shoulders. The homeowner immediately called the police to report the theft.
Fortunately, the police were able to locate the suspect, who had an outstanding warrant for another crime. He was subsequently arrested, and the stolen flag was confiscated. However, the story doesn’t end there.
In a heartwarming act, the officers not only returned the stolen flag to its rightful owner but also took the extra step to re-hang it for her.
