Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers will be making his return to the field after a two-game absence to start against TCU in Fort Worth. This announcement was confirmed by Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian, who expressed confidence in Ewers’ condition.

Ewers had sprained his right throwing shoulder during the third quarter of the Longhorns’ victory over Houston on October 21. However, he has been making progress in his recovery and began throwing the football again last week. Coach Sarkisian emphasized that Ewers will not be limited in any way and has looked great during practice this week.

Ewers has had an impressive season so far, completing 70.9 percent of his passes for 1,915 yards, 13 touchdowns, and three interceptions. His return will be a significant boost for the seventh-ranked Texas team, which currently holds an 8-1 overall record and a 5-1 record in the Big 12 conference.

During Ewers’ absence, redshirt freshman Maalik Murphy stepped in as the starting quarterback and led the team to victories over BYU and Kansas State. In those two games, Murphy threw for 418 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions.

The return of Quinn Ewers adds an extra layer of excitement and anticipation to the upcoming matchup against TCU. With his impressive numbers this season and his return from injury, fans will be eagerly watching how Ewers performs on the field. The Longhorns will be hoping to maintain their winning streak and further solidify their position in the Big 12 conference.

Overall, Ewers’ return is highly anticipated and is expected to have a positive impact on the Texas Longhorns. With his talent and experience, he will be looking to lead the team to another victory and showcase his skills once again.
