Texas Governor Declares Border Invasion and Deploys National Guard to Stem Illegal Immigration Surge

We are also repelling migrants. This action is in line with the governor’s promise to build a border wall and allocate $1 billion for border security in the state budget.
In a letter written to President Biden, Gov. Abbott criticized the administration for the highest volume of illegal immigration the country has ever witnessed. He argued that President Biden’s policies have led to catastrophic consequences, resulting in the vulnerability of homes and the destruction of ranches in Texas. Gov. Abbott emphasized that the president has failed in his constitutional responsibility to protect states against invasion.
The Republican party, including former President Donald Trump, has also blamed the Biden administration for the surge in illegal border crossings. They argue that the Biden administration’s messaging and policies have created a historic and unprecedented crisis at the border.
