The Telangana Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, IT and Industries, Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao, recently made a bold prediction about the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not come to power. Rama Rao criticized PM Modi’s lack of efficiency, effectiveness and competency, blaming him for the high levels of inflation, unemployment, and fuel prices in India. He challenged PM Modi and other ministers to show a better model than Telangana’s governance and expressed confidence that his state’s upcoming assembly elections will result in his party’s re-election with a full majority. Rama Rao also targeted the opposition in Telangana, saying that they keep shouting scams but do not provide evidence in court. He further reiterated the importance of population control in Southern states and called for an increase in representation in parliament. Finally, Rama Rao encouraged the opposition to focus on a positive agenda rather than negative campaign slogans, and called attention to the contributions of former Prime Minister PV Narsimha Rao.
