Tejasvi Surya refuted the claims, stating that under the National Food Security Act, every person in Karnataka is entitled to 5kgs of food grains, and the Congress’ allegation that the Centre is denying free food grains to Karnataka is false. The Anna Bhagya scheme is one of the five election promises made by Congress ahead of the Karnataka assembly election and aims to enhance the free grain from five to 10 kgs.
