Teens Wanted for Escaping Louisiana Juvenile Detention – Considered Armed and Dangerous, US

BATON ROUGE, La. – Police have released the identities of two teens who escaped from the East Baton Rouge Juvenile Detention Center. David Atkins, 17, and Willie Jackson, 17, managed to break out of the facility late Saturday night, November 25. This incident marks the second escape for Atkins, who previously fled the EBR Juvenile Detention Center on November 14. However, he and another teenager were later apprehended. Atkins was being held on a charge of first-degree murder by BRPD, while Jackson faced a similar charge through the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office. Authorities have not disclosed the details of how the teens managed to escape. The EBR Juvenile Detention Center, situated in East Baton Rouge Parish, has urged anyone with information on the whereabouts of the escaped individuals to immediately contact the police via 911. Police have emphasized that the teenagers should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
