The investment includes the establishment of a new film line that will produce biaxially oriented polyethylene (BOPE), a first in North America. TC Transcontinental Packaging plans to expand its facility in South Carolina to accommodate the new equipment. The goal of this investment is to provide high-performance polyethylene films with enhanced heat resistance, revolutionizing the company’s approach to recyclability and demonstrating its commitment to sustainability. The project is expected to be completed by fiscal year 2024 and TC Transcontinental Packaging has partnered with Brückner to supply the equipment for the BOPE film line.
