Tata Power’s joint venture with the Government of Odisha, TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL), has announced the appointment of Amit Garg as CEO, effective from June 1, 2023. Garg previously served as COO at TPSODL and as CEO at Tata Power Trading Company. With over three decades of experience in the power industry, Garg is expected to lead TPSODL to new heights of success. Sanjay Banga, President of Transmission & Distribution at Tata Power, welcomed Garg’s appointment and expressed his appreciation for the outgoing CEO, Arvind Singh, who will be taking on the role of CEO at TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited. TPSODL serves a population of 94.38 Lakh consumers and has a majority stake held by Tata Power. The company is dedicated to providing reliable power supply and reducing existing losses systematically by upgrading distribution infrastructure and adopting new technologies.
