Tamil Nadu Governor R.N.Ravi inaugurated India’s premier international machine tools exhibition, ACMEE-2023, on Thursday. Organized by the Ambattur Industrial Estate Manufacturers Association (AIEMA), the five-day event aims to showcase the latest in machine tool technology, promote investment in India’s industrial sector and help industry modernize.
The governor emphasized the need for appropriately skilled human resources in expanding and innovating, stating that knowledge superiority is key. He urged industry leaders to guide the government and take their own initiatives to ensure this happens.
Tamil Nadu has established itself as a global manufacturing hub, receiving investments from around the world. The government’s infrastructure and progressive policies have helped to establish this reputation.
Investments in research and development in technology, focusing on sustainability, and human capital are three key areas that need investment, stated Satyakam Arya, Managing Director and CEO of Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt Ltd.
The exhibition, ACMEE-2023, concentrates on production technology relevant to MSME units, enabling entrepreneurs to see the latest in machine tools and production technology from around the world. With the hope of moving towards smart manufacturing, adopting smart solutions and contributing to the Make in India campaign.
